After PoE2, playing Diablo 4 feels...

Dec 03 2025

terry5789: I tried POE2 after D4 season 3 and never look back
jaydeus: I paid $100 for early access to D4. I paid $30 for PoE 2. I have over 1k hrs in Poe 2, and about 30 in D4
Sarkiology: As someone who used to play Poe, LE and d4 now I only play poe2 and just keep playing different characters. It just feels so much better to play
awril2137: I started my arpg journey with D3 and I liked it for its simplicity, when D4 came out I poured many hours to the game, played every season till vessel of hatred. Tried playing PoE1 when I came across PoE2 trailers around 6months before its release, but poe1 was too complex for me then, so I came back to Diablo. Still when PoE2 came out I started playing and let me tell you I never felt this much joy playing arpg game before. After the first league I jumped to D4 again and suddenly it felt too easy, and didn't give me enough dopamine I guess idk xd. That was when I played D4 for the last time and haven't come back since. I even pushed myself to try PoE1 again and after playing for around 100hours on 3.27 I can tell why people love this one so much, but I think I will much rather start new league in the 2nd one. Can't wait for 0.4 :D
Drayden42: I can watch the D4 cutscenes over and over again. But I can play PoE2 forever.
griphippy6919: I’m still playing Diablo 2. Excited for the new poe2 league and want to try druid
emoussea1: I was a d4 die hard...last time i played was Vessel of Hatred launch the month before POE2 EA. I've never gone back.
merkinsniffs: I play both
D4 fast food
PoE restaurant
corvumnigrum4209: Totally agree. Just beat D4 campaign for the first time, and it was way too easy. At the beginning it had some challenge but it quickly fade away, maybe it is also because I was doing side quests and some dungeons in act 1 and 2. But after that I just steamrolled through campaign killing bosses in 5 seconds. That was disappointing because I really like the story of the game, but it felt so disconnected with gameplay that I just couldn't believe that I was saving the world from demon apocalypse. I know that this type of game are all about the endgame, but I just don't have any motivation to continue playing because the gameplay loop didn't hook me at all.
yukiinu89: great video again, just leaving here a comment for the algorithm >:D
jamescarter6468: Most of us quit ARPGs about two weeks to a month into a season no matter which one it is. None of them are gripping enough to really hold a massive player base and that’s the issue.
Juda-Roars: if you treat run and dodge like run and slide in action games you can pivot on a dime in the opposite direction or around corners.
kmaguire7161: I really enjoyed the story in D4 and thought all quests were really good because all the NPCs are fully voiced. I wouldn't say I was a "D4 bad" person but I fully understood all the criticisms people had of it. Then after POE2 came out I tried the next D4 season and it was so bad in comparison I quit after a few hours and actually fully uninstalled Battlenet. POE2 hasn't been perfect but I like the direction it is going. Last league was great.
ragnarnvfoster6023: I will say this, both games were in development for 20years in the sense that we've been waiting 20years for a d2 successor....
ErikByrwa: I still play D4 because I have friends who are casual ARPG enjoyers. We blast D4 season launches for one to three weeks tops and I'm usually finished within the first 30 to 40 hours of playtime (max level, 200 paragon, one or more mythics). New builds from seasonal powers or balance updates can be interesting, but the gameplay hasn't evolved much since launch. I think both games serve different communities and that isn't a bad thing. By comparison in the same amount of time in PoE2 I'm usually nearing the end of maps and starting to work on pinnacle boss grind or chasing unique-enabling builds.
Fanatikxs: Good video - modern Blizzard is all about limiting player fun, options, builds, itemization, etc. They lost track of what makes a good ARPG a long time ago.
Deivil007: POE 2 0.4 HYPE

hoping for a video for that as soon as possible
choppax9454: POE 2 optimization is so crap btw
Linux-Lad: Diablo 4 is a fun game when you work a 9 to 5 job. Don't have the time to put hundreds of hours into PoE 2.
naskrajuciszy: as someone who has only a few hours a week to game, D4 is quite good here
JacquiPenar: Half the time on poe2 is minmaxing on market place. But I love it
UnibotV2: I played D2 back in the day and loved it. Missed D3. Played D4 briefly with a friend. Enjoyed it for a bit but then didn't go back to it. Tried PoE 2 during the free weekend and it seemed cool. I liked having to doge roll and felt I had to be more 'present' for combat. Waiting for it to go free, but may just buy it. Seems like a great game! Friend of mine loves D4 and plays the hell out of it and seems to enjoy it. Something for everyone it seems. Also, fond memories of the handful of hours I put into Grimdawn almost a decade ago! The genre seems cool and I'd like to explore it more. This is coming from someone who is not an ARPG player primarily, and very casual, so take it for whatever it's worth.
dIggl3r: What about Last Epoch though...
elroyb3766: Play both poe1 and poe2
Have fun
D2Mephisto: D4 is just too easy man. There's no way to make monsters remain a fun challenge once your character gets past a certain power level. Once the dungeon monsters, overworld/open world monsters, and infernal hordes monsters become one-shottable, the entire fun of the game is erased. After that point, any further progression on your character doesn't feel rewarding because you're one-shotting every monster on the screen regardless. It's too bad, there are a few really fun skills and builds for each class in D4 (except Spiritborn, idk, I just sorta hate that class so I refuse to play it).
E-bro743: diablo 4 for casuals poe2 for sweats
bl33k11: why limit yourself. I play both. different games fun in own way, though keep playing campaign over and over gets old just dont have alot time to play anymore I dont need another job. best years 11-16 skip 17-55 hopefully retire early kids out of the house then enjoy gaming life or maybe my other self in another universe is rich. I dont know where I am going with this anymore..
