Droves of returning players and new players with D2 nostalgia goggles would have flocked in. A percentage of that spike would have bought the DLC.
Instead they lock it behind a paywall. A significant one at that. Expedition 33, Helldivers, Palworld, Arc Raiders, etc the list goes on and on as far as whats available on the market for $40.
I dont blame Rax in the slightest for purchasing the DLC to get access, its his job. Everyone else, go spend your hard earned money on a game that gives you better reasons to do so.

I love Paladin in D2, but with that money I could buy a full game; Expedition 33 won a bunch of awards and I'm almost certain it's worth about the same price. Blizzard only sees me as money, and that would be fine if the quality was worth it. I don't have a problem spending money, but I don't like being seen as an idiot.
