Is Diablo 4 Dying? 30h Season 11 PTR Feedback!

Oct 25 2025

Jaffix16: I played the PTR for several hours as well. Was excited to test it for the whole week but rapidly lost excitement when I realized that the vast majority of builds are not T4 capable even with optimal gear and max glyphs. This really shows us 3 things. Tempered affixed are better than a random 4th affix, masterworking losses are devastating to our damage, and seasonal powers have carried low and average tier builds for so long that we forget how weak they are without those powers.
bacon_taco: Players: Season 10 is the best so far!
Devs: Got it. Change everything
michaellefevre1253: I play casually (ish). These changes look like an amazing self-inflicted gunshot to the groin... :(
chasehawthorne6808: What was their plan with these changes? Remove over half the builds from viability and make the game less fun? Lol
Provident97: So from Season 10 to 11 is like transforming from Superman to Ant man
SuperBlugh: I don't think the devs realize that the fast, simple and chilled style of D4 was its appeal.

Why they changed the difficulty and nerfed power all round is confusing.

They could have shoved all this challenging content into a single gameplay event/mode/activity to keep the streamers and blasters happy instead of ruining the game for everyone
ruckus7554: Players: We EARNED the extra Skill Points and Paragon Points already. D4 Devs: Earned what?
psirex6: they had a pretty good season with season 10, all they had to do was expand on it, maybe increase the scope of Chaos armors and then add more endgame activities and exciting new season-themes.
But they had to scrap all that and basically put out a mix of "loot reborn" and Season 1 while still not giving us endgame... I really can't understand the devs.
omgitstord: 100% agree. S10 was the most fun Ive ever had in D4. S11 PTR was the most atrocious D4 experience to date. I cannot believe they managed to brick the T & MW 1.0 system to this level. If this is the future of D4, I'm not going near it again.
jmf2379: Season 10 was a masterpiece. Chaotic armor allowed for much more build variety and the power fantasy felt great along with the season powers.

Season 11 looks like straight up dog
Erictobecontinued: Taking the power I already earned by having to locate all those Lilith statues is now for nothing? That was a terrible grind. The glyphs failing as you get to 100 also makes me angry. They don’t respect my time.
EmpireXFreak: Looking like I will be skipping season 11. Thanks for all the info.
11679MRT: Season 10 to season 11 seems like a major whiplash - going from Uber powerful chaotic builds to a slower grind and weaker character
taken6232: I can not wrap my head around the fact that we're 2 years in and still fundamentally changing the existing systems instead of adding stuff. I agree with most of the point you've made in your video. What is the point to be forced to grind harder when we are a) running the same pits, dungeons, boring helltides and what not b) still don't have an endgame activity we're building towards.
Ashtareth777: The good news is, if you don't like the changes in Season 11, they will also affect the Eternal Realm. So you will have no reason to ever play Diablo 4 again, and you can find a new game to love.
requiem4ameme2: All I wanted was the ability to pick my tempering affixes…I apologize to the rest of the Diablo community for the invisible Monkey’s Paw that I must have accidentally wished on
sicus0: I agree with you but I want to add a thing. Like you said, Masterworking is kind of useless now, but it is also very hard to get obducide. A T2 NMD gives 10-20, one Masterworking step needs 50. This meas 3-4 NMD runs for 1(!) MW level for one item. You can get more from infernal hordes, about 300 from what I saw, but 15 minutes for 300 is also bad.
jaryRim: The devs finally made Torment 4 aspirational
Gitum: This video is spot on. Torment 4 being inaccessible for most builds is going to push a lot of casual audience away. It would be different if T4 had always been a bit gatekept, but it has always been free and expected by anyone who puts any amount of time in. This game has been cultivated to appeal to a casual audience. Why burn your target audience for competitive gamers who are never coming back to D4 from PoE2/LE anyways?
paladin10seraph54: Here we are. Season 10 will be my last season...In 11 seasons, NOT one character of mine has reached level 300..or the previous cap of 100..I lost all interest in the grind. Now with what Blizzard is doing to squeeze more time out of the players, by not adding valid endgame content ... they make us slog and force us to build the same build as every other D4 player.. all the effort, time, money and controllers ive sacrificed to this game means absolutely NOTHING and all to be told "the game is becoming a fuck fest with no lube and a glassshard condom"...prime example, getting that equipment to the peak of what you want, spending days getting the material and gold and bricking it with a shit stat ... would result in another controller in pieces...and your saying that we wont be able to handle T4 after all of that? No!! You should be rewarded with awesomeness for all time and effort you put in not punished!!
Matla12: Season 11 is shaping up to be, one of, if not the worst season of D4. I get, that they want to bring down player power, but this is nit bringing it down, but nuking them from orbit.
It baffles me, that the takeaway from 10, which most ppl universally liked mind you, is that we need to turn down everything, cause clearly ppl dont enjoy the crazy power. Are these devs blind or tf is going on?
Also i believe they said no more such nerfs after season 1, when they even had to do an emergency fireside, cause the community was in such an uproar.
KeepitABuck50: D4 should lean into the Angel/Demon conflict and add some sort of ascension where you choose Demonic or Angelic unique endgame powers for each class
CatusDominus: i play casually and it already feels like too much of a grind after a point in the character progression and already useless overall as it's a seasonal character, so why oh why would i want to add more grind to that ?
Mindlessallen: The actual fuck are they thinking?
nevekkree84: It's absolutely hilarious that the devs had the game fixed. Sure there was still some work to do but the game was in the best place it has ever been. More builds than ever were possible. People played longer and had a blast. Fans were coming back slowly. Those of us that stuck around for 10 consecutive seasons finally felt we were heard. The future was bright. And then season 11 gets announced. And the game was Dead. 95% of all possible builds would barely make torment 2 with perfect gear. Every leveling build that requires a aspect to make ...... Good luck with no legendary till 40. Pacing destroyed entirely. More frustrating gameplay shenanigans. And nothing much to be excited about. I'm willing to bet the player count hits an all time low. Less than half of the previous low. The only hope right now is maybe season 12 or 13 will bounce back to where season 10 was.
xoxozorro: The task was so easy. Make masterworking able to lock each 4 levels. Remove the limit to the temper scroll use. Guess, an effort of a half day of programming.
