Superawesomegeekshow: The new class is not coming for free. the flail might be a real skin in the season 11 battle pass but it won’t be usable until the expansion with season 12. Having cosmetics for the new class in the season 11 battle pass is just there to get people excited for the new class coming with the expansion. The big reveal will be that season 11 runs right into the expansion with season 12 -which you will have to pay for, of course.

Would love it if we got two new classes. I think we should because Diablo is falling behind in classes and the number of classes when compared to other games. However, we have to keep in mind that for some reason, the Diablo team always does the bare minimum, so we probably just get one class.

I love Diablo. Diablo IV is my current favorite game and Diablo is a favorite game franchise. But -even with that love, it’s time for us to admit that these developers will never give us what we want or do anything unexpected. They just do the bare minimum to get by and just hope that a few people just hang in there and keep playing.

dzubu: But it doesn't make sense. Paladin for sure is designed with reworked skill tree in mind. In that case Paladin would have much different skill tree than other classes, they are not doing skill tree rework for other classes this season.
jf2849: Definitely not what’s more likely is the paladin comes with the next expansion late 2026. I don’t understand the sudden renewed faith in these developers. Is it just people trying to hype up season 11? Maybe a bunch of the I want the game to be harder slower and more grindy turn it into POE or D2 people are coming back but let’s not forget how many casuals are pissed and will never be back. I’m not even a casual and I hate the new changes.

The new class is free in PoE 2. If Blizzard asks for money for new class, we have a choice of which game to play for the season.

zeerox8637: Everyone knows the next expansion will bring a complete overhaul to the skill tree system, with rumors about equipping Legendary powers directly on the skill tree instead of gear. Blizzard is revamping the entire system, and their new class is tied to these changes. I don’t think the “Paladin” will be released because of this. I expect they’ll announce the expansion and showcase parts of it, and while it would be cool if the new class was available to those who preorder, I doubt that will happen.

xenowrath: Now that I think about it, new class playable for season 11 could also be the reason why they delayed leaderboards. If new class is over tuned like SB was, it would skew a new feature like the leaderboards. So maybe the delay is so people can get new class in their hands, play it, and work out the tuning.
