fnShaft: I would be content with a feature to auto-salvage everything that isn't Ancestral, which I can turn on at a certain moment in my characters progression
NeCoNLive: Auto salvage everything below 2GA. Job done!
kevinwebster7868: Loot filters are absolutely not needed in D4. Not even in the slightest. But I understand how the last thing most players want to do in games is actually play them or have to pay the slightest amount of attention.
discodisco360: Blizzard will say we loved your feedback and then will go do something completely different that 90% of players dislike, a typical blizzard
stefan.antonio.: The biggest win for a d4 loot filter would be customizing the appearance and sound of the moment of the drop. You could create a moment of excitement for yourself. Currently we discover we found a nice item when we had back to town and review the loot report. This alone is worth the development time.
Regarding the technical complexity I'm less convinced, you could probably get 80% of the benefit of your pet could salvage legendaries for you, leaving only GA items. We can get to 90% by removing single GA items. We can get to 95% by including amulets with passives. I think MOST players would benefit sufficiently from that level of simplicity.
My $0.02 anyways.
Rahru: Most important part is not "implementing" loot filters when they must be downloaded or acquired outside the game. I've always found it annoying how crafting recipes and runewords on D2 were only available on websites.
andredornelles8014: To be quite honest, you put too much thought in a game like D4. I know you want to elaborate an intellecutal tool, but at this stage please just change the game and accept that D4 will never be as deep as you expect
0001_genesis: 3 years they basically said they would never do a loot filter, player retention has plummeted and now they are talking about SSF and Loot filters. Not sure why they hold on to big things that would bring players back just to use it as bait in the future. The same way they bring back lesser and prime evils without any meaningful lore as to why they are coming back. Ol' Reliable to them is either nostalgia bait or game function bait.
Ownz9999: What is this clickbait? They saying this since s2.
subscriptions7155: I hope blizzard takes this feedback and implements it. Would make the game much more enjoyable.
greganastas: Honestly, I don't give 2
phil8264: I don't want to craft, I want to kill monsters and get dopamine from loot. If I want to craft I'll go to craftofexile.
drdynanite: With all due respect, this looks far too complicated for your average D4 player. If they ever implement loot filter in D4 I'd expect specifying stat for the item in the slot, specify GA stat and maybe the amount of GAs, and specify aspects and uniques
lughor82: The reason not to implement a loot filter is to make sure the game works without a loot filter.
Auto-salvage all non-ancestral legendaries in T2 and higher and auto-salvage all non-ancestral uniques in T3 and higher would be enough to bring down useless loot to a good point.
There isn't a special loot filter needed for that.
And for the zero to hero crafting system, ancestral WHITE base items would be enough for that.
These base items would have 1 affix and salvaging these will give you a crafting material that can create this affix on such an item.
You could level the base item's level from 800 to 850.
You could level the affix crafting materials from level 800 to 850 as well to get even higher stats.
You could find rare affixes from doing endgame activities and there could even be seasonal affixes as well.
Even Legendary Aspects could have a leveling journey on these items.
hedonismbot-hp9ii: couldn´t care less, i hope it won´t take alot of resources...
joeivo911: Great feedback.
adriaandavel9540: It would be nice if we could activate more than one filter at a time. SO we can create smaller filters, and combine them later. That way I can have a filter specific to my build, and another filter for another build I'm farming for, and another filter for 2Ga/Mythics
BobMotster: I'd rather my pet auto-salvage everything I tell it to, than let the items drop but hide them. That's a waste of resources - both system as well as in-game resources.
jf2849: Why does nobody ever talk about why the devs don’t want to give us a loot filter? I have my own theory. People say they want one all the time but nobody ever talks about why the devs are so resistant towards it. I’ve also noticed all the streamers play only meta builds well no wonder why they want the game to be harder. If you play off meta you’re not doing trillions of damage you’re so much weaker the game becomes much harder. Most off meta builds can’t even level up their glyphs without asking some random to carry you. The difficulty in this game can be adjusted to your preference it’s just build dependent. This is due to terrible balancing the gap between meta and off meta is massive.
MakoSDV: This gets complicated very quickly because the drops in D4 are extremely variable, which leads to the need for a loot filter... I'm not sure what we gain from all the drop variability. I think I prefer a much more limited set of items, like in D3 for example.
Knowledge.to_Come: Poe is just better. D4 trade system is abysmal. They got bigger problems than loot filter
valentim.mp4: ty wudi <3
ThijsSchrijnemakers: thanks
rkaaaaaaaa: This would be awesome. I am waiting for a highlighter rules since d3
