SithLordBishop: Im so burned out on masterworking. Iv quit the last 3 seasons at that stage.
D2Mephisto: There's like 70 builds in the game. But only 6 or 7 are ever worth playing in any given season. THIS is what needs to change with the game. I could re-play this game INFINITELY if all the builds were viable! But since they're not, my time spent in the game ends shortly after it begins. No replayability whatsoever.
arfrc5: I get that spiritborn pushed the highest pit but fuck it sucks to play in everything else.
ChristopherBohman: I'm super glad the druid got some love this season. Last season I was nerfed with nothing to replace it. I went with a boiler build and it was definitely fun, just not as much power as I would have liked.
MGC-XIII: I switched to the Hydra sorc, it's so easy and chill
xxcarlosgomesxx: We could have the option to add GA to our items, using Resplendent Sparks.
1GA = 2 sparks
2GA = 4 sparks
3GA = 6 sparks
4GA = 10 sparks
superimpious6073: I'm running a Thorns/ Quill Volley Spiritborn and was a tank until I received a game changing drop. The Rod of Kepeleke turned my QV into a Basic skill and now my Vigor is unlimited. Only pushed to T2 so far but the future is bright.
Smurffies: Bring back barbarian dust devil build! It was well balanced and actually wasn't Op. It was solid for endgame to a solid for bossing and it was solid for pit and it wasn't doing anything crazy. And then Blizzard just nerfs it into the ground. Why? Because they do it with every build that's fun even though it was well balanced..
BarneyzBPC: Idk what the rouge bias is linked to, but that class in my opinion is far from A tier, yes it's great at speed farming and leveling but the damage is extremely lackluster for Pitt pushing and the best build continues to be death trap season after season so not a lot of versatility. Yes Ik twisting blades is strong rn but it severly underperforms compared to a pulverize druid or even a mighty throw barb for example. As a Rouge main there is so much to be desired within this class and seeing that barb got significantly stronger within the last patch I can only hope the same occurs for the rouge.
JD-USA: I didn't enjoy Balazan, it required lining up too many things, especially how you are severely penalized when picking off single targets - even non boss targets are a slog.
Alarak87: Started as hydra, so far so good. I get the CirCeh wolves and the seasonal power with the 5 orbs that follow and attack/freeze/nuke. Feels like a wild summoner build and I'm rarely ever in danger despite not using frost nova or teleport. My Pit levels are below 50 at the moment, but for not following a specific guide, I think I'm having fun.
TheTank3924: Just here to give an honorable mention to shred Druid. It cleared pit 108, even outperforming the lunging strike Barb
shinaikouka: I'm surprised that you left Spiritborn at S-tier. Spiritborn definitely pushes the furthest right now, but it really only has one valid build at that strength: Balazan's. Sure, you can point to plenty of builds, but that's mostly because Balazan doesn't require a specific ability, and every build uses it. Then there's also how it relies upon multiple double-dipping bugs to perform higher than everything else.
For me, the biggest thing is that I ran into a lot of builds this season that are powerful, but man... they just aren't fun to play. I used to play a lot of Spiritborn, and I would always just play a Rake build. It was never a strong meta contender (it could hit Torment IV, but not high Pit levels), but it was a fun, fast build. I finally got Balazan's and I lasted for maybe 15 minutes before I never played the Spiritborn again. The build just wasn't fun. One problem that I encounter with some builds is that the builds lack a direct correlation between action and result. That was probably what made Death Trap so satisfying. You drop a Death Trap, it blows up (almost instantly), things take heavy damage.
Speaking of Death Trap, I did try it out again this season, and whew... it is definitely quite a bit weaker. I've also found it quite a bit harder to really remove the cooldown completely as I've had a hard time getting below 11 seconds, but that might be due to lack of ranks in the skill. So, I end up relying a lot on the modified 22% chance to reset on kill or Overpower. Although, I could also just hit 225 energy and then I don't have to worry about it.
hassenbeenseen7877: Who would've thought that the paid dlc class would be at the top...Shocker
xavierc5340: I don’t know what it is but my spiritborn feels like its using a wet noodle to fight. Despite now being well into the 200s on my paragon, rocking 2 mythics, and changing builds 3 times. It will kill stuff at times but it never feels fun to play, so I’m over it now.
jeffmatychak2096: Awesome season! Im really getting into hardcore.
Wilson21212: Companion Druid SLAPS! I started with the Pulverize Druid, was even lucky enough to get the Weapon early on around level 30 ish. But between the two builds, and I have hours on each. The companion build destroys my Pulverize build hands down, even destroys my Hydra Sorc. I do have all mythics and uniques for all builds. I would highly recommend trying all builds. There are some fun ones out there this season!
ThatFire9oNe6: I'm playing Balazan Rake Spiritborn and I'm currently Level 197 — Torment IV— Pit 58.
It's a hit or miss right now. It either destroys or you're a paper tiger. It's a really tough grind because you really need a lot of armor/element resist to even stand a chance in higher tier dungeons, not to mention needing special rolls with high attack speed on nearly every piece of legendary gear.
I've been having such a hard time getting the right rolls for amulet (or really any legendary gear) because it requires rare rolls that takes way too much grind time. Without Lucky Hit: primary resource and tweaks to masterwork CDR, you're SOL for a couple seconds, which is enough time to ruin a run.
I mean, at this point, I'm just grinding out for paragon points to switch to Rogue or something.
OftenAlwaysFresh: Balazan made me quit the season, I put too much effort into that stupid MW and trying to get a RoSS and I just wasn't having fun.
is300nextgen: Thanks for the d4 content/guide videos. There are a lot of us who still appreciate it.
Dave69besto: Could you make an ultimate quitter's guide?
D4 blows
truthseeker6532: Sad day for Gen X, Hulk Hogan passed.
jamesens1610: So you said something very interesting: you sqid that these classes can do this level of pit(whatever; t5hat is it doesnt matter). All of you influencers and professional players forget one important thing, you all have PERFECT gear. no one else had such gear. Sure once in a while we get a four star piece of ear to drop but that takes weeks of grinding. We either dont have time or luck enough, or arent gifted items from Blizzard because we say nice things about their games or review them in a more favourable light. Id love to see anyone push high into the pits with just regular gear. Theres an idea have a grouping that uses gear that you only get, not gifted or grinding for 300 hours. Cause the rest of us have JOBS, FAMILY, etc and are getting pretty flustrated with content creators whos job this is . Remember this guys
langeracing17: I've been running an electric mage and doing very well with it so far
Nostromo2144: Evade SB this season has been a hella lota fun! Casual scrub, don't care about pushing, happy to just be able to do most T4 content comfortably :).
matrixbeastreloaded: I was playing summon necro again and later was going to change to blood wave once I got the uniques for it but I went with pulverize because I don’t have to change mid game and I’m curious what the new unique is like.
I really wanted whirlwind barb but barbs suck now.
I almost stopped playing this season at level 40. I also noticed leveling is slower thanks streamers that have all the hours to play.
IPFreelly: I like to watch videos like this to check in on what's going on, but I think the only thing that would bring me back to D4 is if they made masterworking and tempering deterministic. I'm so done with rerolling things until the item is bricked because it just wouldn't roll what I wanted.
